San Francisco Giants Golf Towel Purpose?

Merchandise for most baseball teams are relevant. You want to show your pride by wearing a t-shirt, a sweater in the winter, and a baseball cap and so on. Somethings are less practical than others however, like the San Francisco Giants Golf Towel.

What is the purpose of that? If you are a true fan of baseball, why would you need a golf towel? If anything the companies should think about making regular big towels, or seat cushions for people when they go to watch a game. A golf towel seems to be a pointless thing to sell to baseball fans. Perhaps they weren't thinking about that fact when they made them.
